The E-Health MoM System is a specialized digital platform designed to identify, collect, analyze, and manage the health of pregnant women from pregnancy detection through delivery, as well as the health of their children up to five years old. Implemented in partnership with Community Health Workers (CHWs) within local communities, the system supports timely health education, appointment reminders, early risk detection, and emergency referral coordination — all aimed at improving maternal and child health outcomes.
TibaSalama will utilize a specialized system called “e-Health Mom,” designed to identify, collect, analyze, store, track, and manage the health of pregnant women from the time of pregnancy detection through to delivery, as well as the health of their children up to the age of five. This digital system will be implemented in collaboration with our dedicated network of Community Health Workers (CHWs) who are carefully selected and reside within the target communities. Their close proximity facilitates personalized coordination with health facilities at the ward, street, or village levels, as well as with local leadership.
Through the “e-Health Mom” platform, CHWs will enter initial pregnancy data as soon as it is reported, marking the first step in the implementation of the #3D Model’s (Delay in seeking care) first component. The system will maintain vital data throughout the entire journey of the pregnant mother and her child, from pregnancy to the child’s fifth birthday, with the aim of identifying health challenges early, delivering timely health education, sending SMS reminders for clinic appointments and health alerts, and coordinating emergency referrals to ensure that mothers receive essential health services on time—ultimately enhancing their safety and overall well-being.
TibaSalama works in partnership with key government and non-government institutions to implement its activities, ensuring that all data and sensitive information is handled with the highest level of confidentiality, in accordance with national guidelines and international standards.
Data collected through the e-Health MoM system serves as a vital foundation for making timely and informed decisions aimed at improving maternal and child health services. Here’s how the data is used:
